"If I told you how I ended up here, you wouldn't believe me. It feels less like a career path and more like a series of fortunate collisions. I am operating with the frantic improvisation of someone who walked onto the wrong stage but decided to play the part anyway.
I’ve had the absurd good fortune of founding a few companies along the way, but looking back, those don't feel like linear steps up a mountain. They feel like past lives. I am realizing that a life isn’t a statue you carve once; it is a caravan of selves. To keep moving, I have had to repeatedly dismantle the person I thought I was just to survive the person I needed to become.
So, despite the history, I don’t feel like a veteran. I feel like a perpetual amateur, dazzled by the realization that the more I build, the less I actually understand. There is no master plan here, only a stubborn curiosity and a willingness to be wrong in public. I’m writing this to document the stumble, the wonder, and the sheer accident of it all."

I have moved back to San Francisco after a hiatus of decades, returning to a city that I thought I knew, only to find that my memory was a map of a place that no longer exists. Walking these streets again feels like visiting a house you grew up in, only to discover someone has rearranged the furniture and repainted the walls in colors you can’t quite name.
